You can’t wait for Frenzy, too far to Soul Survivor, ages until Crossover or Imagine? Never fear ‘The Gathering’ is near (or here?)!!!Ok apologies for the cheesy strap line, but we are all really excited about an event coming up in the heart of Central Scotland called ‘The Gathering’.
‘The Gathering’ rises to the challenge of providing a credible and exciting worship experience for young adults and teenagers. That experience needs to be accessible and relevant. So much so that with confidence they invite their not-yet Christian friends along knowing that they will be impressed and exposed to the living God. We make no apologies for this vision and our use of dance routines, beats, big screens and lots of energy.
‘The Gathering’ experience is:
Worship: Bluetree, mixing modern worship leading with technology for a cutting edge experience.
Truth: We aim to gather around the cross, providing people with an opportunity to respond through vox pops, personal stories and invitation.
Environment: Big screens, various multimedia including live cameras and visual backdrops, stage lighting, and sound.
Celebration and Creativity: Our resident DJ Bob Peck for big tunes, and a chance to unwind and chill out.
Movement: Choreographed dance routines
‘The Gathering’ need not be an event solely for young adults and teenagers of Stirling Baptist Church. We desire it to be a resource for Central Scotland churches and groups to use in their vision to see God’s Kingdom established in the lives of those he has gathered around them.
Join us for ‘The Gathering’ at Stirling Baptist Church on the Saturday 22nd April 2006. The doors open at 7:30pm followed by our late night café at ‘Café Cast’.
There is minimal charge of £3-00 per head to help cover costs of running the event.
Looking forward to seeing you there

Profiles

If you were walking in a Forest full of beautiful green trees and you suddenly came to a tree that was blue, yes blue! It would stand out as different from the rest of the Forest. That’s what these guys are about: Standing out for Jesus. Their heart is to be that salt and light which Jesus has called us to be in this world.

Led by Aaron Boyd, the band has a passion to lead people into the presence of God using the gifts He has given them.
Aaron and Bluetree lead worship at their home church Strandtown CFC, Belfast (
